Let's Catch Up: Spring 2025 🐍

3/13/2025

Hey divas. How’s your 2025 going? Mine is somewhat stressful. It’s very fascist where I live. I didn’t predict that the new fascist regime (I’m not capitalizing the f in fascist because they don’t deserve to be acknowledged as a proper entity) would unravel the country so fast just because I perceived them as too incompetent to even accomplish anything in the first place. They flopped so hard during the Pandemic. How did they get voted into office again? But hey, I guess we can prove that I could be wrong sometimes. It was admitted on National Television that the swing state votes were rigged, and the clown in the White House is still not unseated. April Fool’s said I’m taking back my holiday and hijacked January, February and March since the Inauguration.  I’m sorry if this catch-up Post is so bare. But 2025 isn’t really giving, if you know what I mean. I don’t wanna start the return of my blogging in such a dismal state, but there were a lot of lows that just kept rolling and rolling non-stop. I couldn’t even enjoy Mardi Gras. Let the Good Times Roll. "Laissez les bons temps rouler."

Except for the King Cake with cream cheese and raspberry filling.

Thank you, Three Brothers Bakery.

That was good.  The undue amount of stress from work is awful.

I scalded my left thigh with boiling water two days before Valentine’s Day.

I am sick and fucking tired Of being ruled by Saturn.

At least there’s only 56 total days of this bullshit.

I’m currently using a hydrocolloid patch for the burn.

Hopefully, scarring is minimal.

Christmas is more magical when your phone camera has astigmatism.

TOP THREE MOMENTS OF 2024:

I feel like New York wasn't love at first sight for me. But it was definitely love at second sight. I felt it when we were about to leave. And all I could think of was, "I just became accustomed to her face," from My Fair Lady.

I’ve put a lot of spice books on hold. I’m just not in the mood lately. Maybe around summer time. Maybe.

  • Sigma Spicy Eyeshadow Palette - Maverick, Soiree, and Moonshine are my favorite wet, shiny, glittery, shimmery, metallic, one-and-done shadow. I'm so glad I found it on sale while me and Mama Bear went to HomeGoods after running errands together
  • Candle warmer - the actual light of my life during these dark times
  • Of course, I can never fall out of love with Magnum.
  • Magnum is making a clan. He made me two mini Palpatines. Their eyes are round and soft like his and more amber-like, unlike my Palpatine's, who had sharp, yellow eyes. But I still adore them both. We have one new cat; we haven't decided on a name yet. Orange, Grey, and Boba are all getting along, and they give Scully kisses, and that makes us so happy.

CURRENTLY ON REPEAT:

  • MUTT by Leon Thomas
  • Crybaby by SZA
  • BMF by SZA
  • Soul on Fire by ISaintJames
  • Destiny by Chaka Khan & Rufus

MOST USED DECKS:

  • The Wild Unknown Alchemy by Kim Krans (I loved the Guide Book so much. I felt like a sophisticated art student after finishing reading it)
  • The Macabre Tarot by Sam Rook (I love this because it reminds me of the Day of the Dead festival in San Antonio)

I'm sorry for the crabby intro. I really did miss you guys. I'm hoping 2025 stops being crazy soon because I'm the only one that's allowed to be insane around here. Being unhinged is my brand. It's trademarked. No one else can do what I do. And to the guy who carded me while trying to buy wine at Trader Joe's, and did a double take of my license, "Yes, I'm 32."Ain't nobody 16 around this house. Looking for three months' worth of photos should be a national sport. Why did this take the whole day? I'm on Substack btw. I'm Fairy Wanderer. See ya there!

During my blog hiatus, I was able to finish my 300 required hours for my courses. It was a lot of essays, projects, discussions, and quizzes. And right now I finished my 5 hours of my FBE making the perfect score of 300/300. This is my first time juggling being a full-time worker and a student at the same time and it is beyond exhausting.

Before I go, I am so happy that the trending color for spring is Buttermilk Yellow because it makes me think of MacGyver's soft yellow pick up truck. I watched the ending in Season 7, and I am now starting Season 7.

Also, another health news is that I am now a bad b using an inhaler because I started coughing blood during January. It was scary. But I did my lab tests and there are no abnormal results. I don't wanna be reliant on an inhaler, but it's been helping me with chest congestions. I sucked the first few times I tried it, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm good now, but my chest does constrict when I forget to use my inhaler 4x a day.

Big thank you for letting me see 300k hit my blog! It is so cool to me that every time I see Google Analytics to check for active users by countries and cities, I see people translating my page to their home language. That makes me tear up. I think most of my viewers are from Europe and Asia. And even Australia. I think I saw Gold Coast pop up once. And it blows my mind that people are translating my posts in French, German, Hindi, Slavic, Portuguese and so many other languages. That is so amazing. Thank you.

Love ya! Thanks for reading. Take care xx

  1. OMG! Happy belated Birthday! Your birthday is the 26th? That's my nephew's birthday too! I'm turning 32 this year! I didn't know we were so close in age, I thought you were much younger then me! haha

Btw, I feel the same about everything that is going on in the US. It's so stupid. I can't believe some of the stuff that is currently going on like WTF? The fact that they're just letting them get away with all their actions too! I'm hoping things turn around soon. ♥ mooeyandfriends.com

    1. Awww thank you Michelle! That's awesome! I love knowing about birthday twins! Happy Belated birthday to your nephew x

I thought you were younger than me too lol. I thought you were in your twenties. Haha yeah I get that a lot lol. All the girl group chats I've joined on ig keep telling me "I thought you were 16" lmao.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about the current political climate we're in. The only thing that's slightly making me feel better are the judges blocking his executive orders.
