I turned in my resignation. Only took two seconds. Oh, it’s so tempting to use all my six remaining leave days. But I guess I have to feed it to Saturn so I can get good references. Shopping for a new company should be fun. I think I’ll have a month of gap in my resume while I finish up all my classes. 

Thank you for not letting unfair systems, gods, and monsters devour me this spring. I was too ambitious, but you gave me mentors that lighted the way out of the woods. 

When I see Richard again, I hope you tell the rosy dawn to hold. I hope you stretch the night like you did for Odysseus and Penelope. 

I don’t know of any offering that would be satisfying for you, but I sacrificed my beloved oak tree that held me steady while I was weak, because my mom wanted to plant Japanese Maple trees instead. 

Thank you for the cleverness you let me borrow to get out of fox traps and revealing to me that my mom was my oak tree all along. Because her love is steady and not so easily  uprooted.
