I am really loving vintage vibes of this haul. I’ve always looked at Soap and Glory at Target and I like the pink and vintage packaging and yet I never bought them. I don’t know why. I guess, at the time, I kept thinking $11 was too high for a drugstore price for me, so I just content at looking at it and walked on. Last weekend though, I finally bit the bullet and picked up three items that I liked because there was a $5 coupon off near my Target because they just finished remodeling. This isn’t going to be an in-depth review. I just wanted to quickly share what I got. I might talk more about it in the upcoming tutorials I had in mind.
One Heck of A Blot Powder
Um, I like this enough. It’s not as transparent as other powders I’ve tried though. I like the puff it came with. Without the typical Korean cushion, it felt more like the ones they used in the 1940s. Although, I kinda wish it matched the puff in the packaging. Also, the packaging is excellent. I love the model they used. Feels like it’s been plucked straight out of a TCM (Turner Classic Movies) film with the black and white photograph going on.
One Heck of A Blot - Instant Perfecting Power Primer
I like the typography in front of the packaging. I like how it feels full when you hold it. Other primers, feel half empty. Works really well to erase any textures and works well with problematic foundations/bb creams. I like how it’s pink. What else? Hmm. I don’t think it helps make the makeup last that long. I feel like half of it comes off. Near my mouth and lower cheek area. I’d say it’s staying power is about 5 to 6 hours. But I don’t really mind all that much.
Ace of Shades Eyeshadow Quad
Like the autumnal/fawn shades. Staying power isn’t that long either. I’d say 5-6 hours as well. It claims to last long though. They had other shade selections as well, but they felt too cool-toned for me.

Ahh! I've been wanting to try more from their brand. Im trying to find a new primer so I might give this one a try and hope it works good for me. Lol right now I have one from Elf which isnt bad, but I feel like it could be better.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn!!! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment! xx This is my first time trying more stuff from them too! I only had one item from them 3 years ago. And that was the lip plumping gloss that they had that smelled like chocolate. I really liked that one so I decided to try more stuff from their line :D
ReplyDeleteTheir primer is pretty cool! I feel like it's almost similar/a dupe to the silicone primer by Too Faced. And I've been wanting to try more Elf stuff so I guess we're on a similar boat, haha.
