I guess this counts as a second haul. I bought a lot of pins last time I was in California Adventure Park (DCA). Before writing this post, I had no idea who Sir John was. And after reading an Allure article on the launch of the products, I found out he’s Beyonce’s make up artist! How cool is that? And can I take this moment tell everyone how perfect Beyonce is for the role of Nala!!! I was so excited the first time I heard her voice! She did it exactly how I heard it when I was eight years old watching the Lion King on VHS with my cousins.

There were other parts of the launch that I wanted to try like the sculpting palette and the frosted liquid lipstick with lion scratches on them, but I was most interested in the bullet lipsticks. The photographs online don’t do the packaging any justice. It’s so beautiful. I chose lipsticks because I love how portable it is. The only thing I regret about this purchase is that I didn’t buy 100,000 backups before they discontinue it as it is a limited edition release.

If I lose these lipsticks during traveling, I’m gonna host their own funeral. And it’ll be like Mufasa dying all over again; - ;

Note: In the Allure article, Pounce and Lion Mane are switched around. It must have been a printing error, because as you can see from my photographs, Pounce is clearly nude, and Lion Mane is the bright orange one.

I love Lion Mane a lot. It was so long-lasting that even as I used a foam cleanser, makeup cloth, and toner, you can still see remnants of it lingering everywhere. It’s one kiss-proof make up. I didn’t kiss anyone, but I guess since it wouldn’t budge after me eating so much greasy food, that I can assure you, you can wear it for dates.

Not sure about Pounce if it lasts at all. It just blends it with my lips so much that I can’t tell the difference. I’ll have to test it out again.
