QUESTIONS
Newest palette? Sailor Moon x Colourpop Lenticular Palette
Oldest palette? Naked 3 & Naked 2
Most expensive? Lunasol Quad $75
Most affordable? Elf bite-size palette is Truffle and Pumpkin pie $3
Everyday palette? Makeup Revolution Reloaded Palette in Velvet Rose (Fawn & Gold) | Sleeping Beauty palette(s): Velvet Rose, Pat McGrath Mini Ecstasy, Wet n Wild My Glamour Squad, Maybelline Nudes of New York
Most colorful palette? Toki Doki palette from Hot Topic
Smallest palette? Elf Matte for Plums && Pixi by Petra in Naturally Nude
Biggest palette? BH Pro Cosmetics Ultimate Neutrals Palette && Rude Cosmetics Anime Manga Book 2
Palette with the best memory? Natasha Denona in Mini Sunset Palette (Fawn & Peach) && Milani Pure Passion (Fawn & Pink shimmer). I had the best summer of 2019 (Most of it). Everything in my life was getting better and I had these two palettes to prove that those memories did happen.
Palette worth the hype? Jill Stuart 04 Cashmere | I love the micro shimmers in this palette and the 1920s packaging. For me, it’s worth the $50 quad price. I just can’t go wrong with this palette. I’ve used it on a lot of date nights.
Favorite palette from a favorite brand? Bad Habit - Artistry II palette | So sad they re-branded/changed their name. I liked the name Bad Habit better. And I’m very much attached to this palette because 2019 January was the year I started taking blogging more seriously and upload consistently and it was the very first palette I reviewed when I re-launched my blog
Most used palette? Dolly Wink in 01 | I would only use peach shimmers on my lid for three years straight. I have to say I haven’t been able to find a dupe for this particular peach shadow. Not even in the luxury Japanese brands I own. There is something special about this peach shade and that’s why I hit so hardpan on it.
Underrated palette? Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division | Really helps me get out of my comfort zone and it’s very olive-undertone friendly and I love it for autumn. It makes me think of cozy times.
Added questions! (From @Zabrena)
Best dupe palette? Rimmel London Jewel Rocks - Half subculture, Half Denona
Biggest palette regret? Naked 3 & Lunasol. Expensive and doesn’t match my complexion (Too cool-toned appears grey on me)
My Bonus Questions
Best Travel palette: The Balm In The Balm Of Your Hand Volume 2
Prettiest packaging: Too Faced Pretty Rich | Reminds me of the scene in Anastasia when she was reunited with her grandma and she finally tried on the crown and it reminded me of the case where the crown was kept.
More Pretty Packaging: I couldn’t resist adding more. So next up is the Maybelline The City Kits Pink Edge Eye + Cheek Palette. I just love the soft pink edge and the raised shadows create a really pleasing look. The Zoeva Opulence palette with the florals against the dark background is really pretty to me too. It looks like a greenhouse garden at night and it reminds me of Poison Ivy from the original Batman the Animated Series. The Viseart Warm Edit palette is sooo pretty to me too. I like how it opens, I like the director’s seat logo, and how the small square shadows look like they go under an awning with the pretty small mirror inside. Last, but not least is the Matte Voyager Zoeva palette. Because I love TCM and this reminds me of Noir Alley.
Palette I Wish I Loved More: Baby Got Peach Palette. Ughh. It frustrates me so much that it has all the colors I loved back when I was into peach shadows, but unfortunately for me, it just got released a bit too late. Now I’m into brow/fawn/cottage core aesthetic. This has the prettiest packaging too! So I think I mostly got it for me from three years ago. She would have loved the heck out of this palette.
Three More Questions I wanted to Add:
Most Forgotten: (1) Make Up Revolution Love Conquers All Palette & (2) Make Up Revolution 24K Gold Chocolate Palette. I loved the heck out of the peach shade in Love Conquers All palette. I’m surprised I never made a dent on it. I love the name of the palette as well. The dupe for the chocolate bars without the scent is an absolute favorite too. A couple of years ago, I was so excited to have this, but it slowly got stuck at the back of my collection. I might try to do a pan project with this one.
Most Disappointing: Make Up Revolution Fortune Favors The Brave | This was soo pretty to look at and it had every shade I could want plus the price is right. However, it never translated well on my lids no matter how pretty they are swatched. But these look gorgeous on my favorite ASMR artist. I’m still keeping it because I like the name of the palette and how I instantly think of my favorite ASMR YouTuber when I see it in my collection.
Favorite Sister Palettes: Maybelline Soda Pop & Lemonade Craze | Check out my January Make Up Basket to see more of them!
I tag everyone who wants to do these questions! You can do just the original ones or answer the added questions as well! They were super fun! And a great way to assess your style/preference with make up!
