I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you for the free copy of this book to the author and to Book Sirens.
I love the character designs and the plot. I have annotated this book and found a lot of endearing passages that I loved. The only drawback for me and the only reason why I couldn't give this a five or four-star rating is mainly because of the pacing and some of the dialogue felt like it needed working as well. I felt like when the momentum has finally been built up, it couldn't be sustained. It took me so long to finish the book because I ended up putting it down every time I get to an exciting part of the book and then it fizzles out too soon. And this process kept getting repeated throughout the whole book all the way to the end.
