Book Review: Bridezillas and Billionaires by Alina Jacobs

8/07/2022

I've been in the mood to read rom-com again after I saw one thumbnail that said all they read for a full week are romantic comedy books. I read this last year, and while I don't remember too much of it: It kinda follows the Cinderella formula of a poor girl meets a wealthy but kind of a dickhead kind of guy and they fall in love, almost break up, and they are together again after a short hiccup. I don't think billionaires should exist in real life. Let me just get that out of the way. In the fictional realm, yeah I guess it's ok for them to exist over there. I bought this as a kindle book. And I enjoyed it a lot. I wish my copy didn't have a lot of typos though. I'll give this a three out of five stars. Because it was cozy, familiar, comforting, and just what I wanted to read at that time. Alina Jacobs also integrates short, steamy scenes in her novels, so if you're not into that, you might end up skipping this book. I think she writes all her scenes quite well, and I don't feel like I'm lingering too long in one paragraph for too long. So I didn't mind the steamy scenes that were included. But my favorite trope is full of longing, but not even kissing kind of romantic scenes. Spoiler Alert: Just like the ending of Rogue one.

Thanks for reading! I'll see you in the next post! As always, take care xx
