Let’s Catch Up: Misbehaving Somewhere For Daze

I hope you enjoyed the last two travel  posts. I’m going away again, (just for a little bit). I need to focus on my exams so I can get my full promotion. I did get the signing bonus with my new job, but it’s not the only thing I’m aiming for. I was hoping to advertise with Molly again, but maybe I’ll do it during fall instead of summer. I’m saving all my money to pay for exams instead of advertisments. Hopefully, by next Gemini season. All will be settled. 

I’m trying a new editing app. It’s not the one I usually use so it was slow getting these posts up. But new is always exciting. And I’m finally getting the hang of it. The old app I used to rely on deleted all my past portfolio, but I don’t seem to mind it going away.

The only thing I’m looking forward to for the rest of 2025 is Peaky Blinder’s unreleased film. I heard it’s going to be released either late 2025 or early 2026 because filming wrapped in December 2024. I hope they don’t touch Arthur Shelby (played by Paul Anderson). They were dangling a dagger over him towards the season finale in the sixth season. He’s the heart of the show and he’s my favorite character. I know every girl loves Tommy and they were like Tommy’s dying (and I’m over here like, “So what if he’s dying? I’m dying too. Everyone’s dying. You ain’t special Tommy”). Oh, but when they did the final episode in the final season, and they used Arthur as bait in the bar scene, I was at the edge of my seat. I was like “Don’t hurt him.” If Mr. Anderson is gone, then I’m gone. It wouldn’t make sense for him to survive World War I, but not World War II. They better not fucking touch Arthur.

Sometimes I think, musicians are poets, prophets, and seers all rolled into one. A Hades and Persephone retelling. 74 tracks and nearly four hours of saturated magic. 

I wish I had time to go the museum this summer. But I don’t. I’m going to be buried in books studying, before work starts soon. Anyway, let’s look at Klimt, “The Kiss” (Oil on Canvas, 1908) together.

Look at how he towers over her. This painting suddenly reminds me of that liminal time in New Year’s Eve (2024) where my aunt and uncle from the south of France decided to FaceTime me. I mentioned how tall Richard was to them and they just looked like I splashed cold water on them. They got really quiet out of nowhere. And I know it wasn’t a glitch because Timothée was wagging his cute white tail. It’s so funny how a painting can pull back a memory from the past a long time ago within seconds. I always see my aunt and uncle as one person, split into two bodies. Anyway, this painting is electric in its own sacred right.
