Hello There, Hera

Hera, I hope I didn’t scare my husband away when I told him I want him to marry me three times in different locations. What I really want is for a simple Courthouse marriage. Down the City Hall. I think Saturn would like it the most. He would smile for the first time. No circus involve. Just a legally binding document. And I wouldn’t want him to wear a suit. I hate suits. It’s for a performance. Real gentlemen don’t wear suits. 

Saturn would seal the moment and it would be the happiest day of my life. I used to think I wanted to get married at Saint Peter’s Basilica after I visited the Vatican City two years ago. Oh, but I don’t think I can wait four years for a reservation. And I would hate to walk on my wedding day. What if I break my leg while walking down the aisle. Just thinking about it makes my anxiety go up. 

I think only Zeus would pout. Because Richard is his favorite. He’d want to give him a Hero’s banquet. He’d want things to be grand. He would not want a semi-divine figure to have such a small wedding. Oh, but I think my Richard would like it.

My ex-best friend in high school used to secretly laugh at me for crying at the ending of Roman Holiday. She reassured me that Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn would have a Parisian Holiday, Belgian Holiday, and a Baltic Holiday all across Europe. That Hermes tricked me. It was a beginning disguised as an ending. He’d follow her all across Europe. So I’m hoping there’s an Act II somewhere hidden in the Moirai’s woven tapestry. And I’d get to see Richard again soon.

Richard is my vintage wine. He’s rare and the reason why the 26th of October turned from rupture to rapture. If I could curl around his lap, right now, I’d tell him « I love him more than France »
