I’m always down for DIY as long as the cost and skill are on a very low scale. I think DIY ghosts are so cute and yet they’re so easy and so fast to make. I tried looking for Unsplash photos for these, but they weren’t available there. So, I simply did google image search for my photographs. I have linked the original sources below. Don’t think I’ll get into trouble uploading these because they're mainly for mood board purposes and not a commercial one at all. Also, I think I’m going to make this into Part I of DIY Ghosts because the next day will also be featuring ghosts lol.
Materials:
x Cheesecloth or white paper bells or white balloonsx Small ping pong ball or tennis ball or a round styrofoamx Black Marker or Black tapex String or Rubber band or twine
Steps:
1/ Grab your chosen garment. Wrap it around the ball of your choice.2/ Secure it with a rubber band or anything you fancy tying with.3/ Draw the eyes and mouth of the ghost or use scissors to cut small black circles from a black tape
I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of this DIY of cute, floating ghosts. I’m really attached to this DIY because I remember my mom telling me the story of how when she was a kid, her parents couldn’t afford to buy her Barbie dolls. And my grandma would make her something similar to this where she wraps a piece of cloth and shape it to a small baby, and that’s how my mom would play. My mom even made me one when I was also a kid, and I was so happy when she did that because it felt like I was there with her when she was five. Very cool time-travel experience for me.
That’s all I have to say about this post. I hope to see you in the next one. Take care!
